## What are polarities?
A polarity (“both/and” thinking), also called dilemmas, tensions or paradoxes, are differences between two alternatives that cannot be ignored without serious negative consequence. They are a pair of interdependent alternatives/elements, topics or poles that are ongoing and unsolvable.
## What is Polarity Thinking?
Polarity thinking is a way to view problems and polarities. Problems have an either/or solution while polarities are both/and. Polarities have no one right solution. Both/and means that each pole has positive and negative attributes. A leader's job is to manage the positive and negative of each pole.
## What is Polarity Mapping
Polarity Mapping, also known as Polarity Thinking, is a visual framework for tackling problems in industry, team collaboration, and other challenges.
